VISWAS e-Challan: A Convenient Way to Check Traffic Violations and Pay Fines
VISWAS e-Challan is a free mobile application developed by Home Department Gujarat to support the state's flagship program, the Video Integration and State Wide Advance Security (VISWAS) Project. The app aims to help citizens of Gujarat check their traffic violations and e-Challan details conveniently and provide an online payment facility.
The VISWAS Project has established CCTV camera-based surveillance and integrated traffic management systems in 41 cities across the state, including 34 district headquarters, six pilgrimage places, and the Statue of Unity in Kevadia. The app supports only those e-Challans generated by the VISWAS Project.
With this app, citizens can check their unpaid, paid, and pending e-Challan before they receive it at their home. The app also provides real-time penalty tracking of citizen’s vehicles. It is an excellent initiative to help citizens stay informed about their e-Challan details and avoid any inconvenience caused by traffic violations.
